Only Fooling Myself

Went outside for 3 miles yesterday as planned and ended up running the most pathetic 2 miles . . .

I thought I was feeling better but apparently not well enough. Coincidentally, the song playing on my iPod was Kate Voegele's "Only Fooling Myself."

Hope Wednesday's planned run is significantly better.

Thanks to Jon Hay for his donation to the American Cancer Society!

Don't beat yourself up, it happens to all of us sometimes to have a crappy run. I love the way your blog automatically starts up your playlist, by the way - is that a widget you have installed?
By the way, how did you ever find my blog? I'm so flattered to be linked on yours!

By the way, I like your "how not to train like an asshole this year" schedule! :-) awesome!

Don't be too hard on yourself if you are just getting well. Being sick takes a lot out of you, and sometimes you think you are over it before you really are. I like your music, too!! Cool additon to your page!

I feel your pain, but hang in there. I had a pathetic 2 miles on Monday too. Just think, by the time October 12th rolls around, we'll be kickin' bootie!

Terri: Not sure how I found your blog .. .was surfing and found it on another running blog and liked it! It is a widget (projectplaylist.com).

Thanks Tamara -- I definitely thought I was over it, not quite yet!

Karin - - You're right -- we will be kickin' bootie!

I've been following your blog off and on and just wanted to wish you the best getting ready for Chicago and raising your funds.

Once you get past the stress and get caught up in your marathon training, hopefully things will look up.

Please feel free to join some of us who are also getting ready for Chicago Marathon at Runners’ Lounge, http://www.runnerslounge.com, a friendly web site for runners. Everyone is welcome there.
